Mod History
First round of modifications
My first round of mods started soon after I took delivery of my car. I started with the basic stuff since I didn't know much about working on cars.

Moroso CAI
TB airfoil
Hurst shifter
Edelbrock dual cat headers
Borla cat back exhaust
March underdrive pulley

These mods netted me a 13.2@106.8 in the quarter mile, up from 14.1@99.6 bone stock. My car was hit in a front end collision and lost performance to the tune of low 14's@102mph. I don't know what happened but I busted out the cats, added a 52mm TB, and installed a Strange 12 bolt rearw/4.11s, performance boosted back to 13.1@107.2 I then switched my Edelbrocks out for a set of RK Sport headers and a random tech dual cat y-pipe. I also added a Mufflex 4" catback. Performance increased to 12.9@110mph

Second round of mods

Now I was hooked and I needed MORE! After looking around at cylinder heads in the summer of '99 I decided on the LT4 pieces from GMPP. I decided to try a couple of other things as well. Second round mods are as follows.

LT4 cylinder heads-unported
LT4 intake manifold-unported
LT4 Hot cam
Comp Cams 1.6 Pro Magnum RRs
Comp Cams hardened pushrods
Hooker longtubes
MMC y-pipe without cats
Ported MAF
Ed Wright ECU tuning
SLP lightweight flywheel
McLeod dual performance clutch
1le driveshaft

On drag radials with a 1.87 60' with a slipping clutch @3640lbs raceweight these mods netted me a best of 12.2@116mph.

Third round of mods
I just finished this round recently. After developing a cylinder head gasket leak from using my stock head bolts, doh, I decided to get serious. New mods are as follows.

GTP stage 2 ported LT4 heads and Intake
CC 306 cam
Comp Cams lifters
58mm TB
Canton Road Race Oil Pan
Solid Motor mounts
Centerforce clutch
Additional MAF porting
!AC

I have not had a chance to race this combo yet thanks to a leaky rear main seal. It should be good for mid elevens at 120mph or more. I have also purchased an OBD1 ECU and an S-trim Vortech w/aftercooler that will be installed next year(on a new short block).

UPDATE: Due to catastrophic engine failure my blower motor rebuild has begun! So far I have collected Oliver rods, Callies splayed 4 bolt main caps, a GM forged crank, and a few misc. items. I have to get my heads CC'd before I decide on a piston but I want to use a JE that yields around 9.5-1CR. I will be running 11lbs of boost.

NEWSFLASH! I have nixed the blower plans and picked up a turbo kit. I will be running 8.5-1CR and 15-17psi. Looking for 700rwhp/tq.
